Bishouho Senshi Sailor Moon is the first home console video game in the Sailor Moon franchise. It was developed and published by Angel (a subsidiary of Bandai). It was released in Japan on August 27, 1993, but was later released to France in 1994, and is the only Sailor Moon video game in the series to have an international version until the release of the DS game that was only released in Italy. A Sega Mega Drive version was released in 1994, but was developed and published by another subsidiary, Ma-Ba.
